Wild Flowers in the Sierra 2010
I took a hike on August 8th up toward Lake Winnemucca above Woods Lake. There were signs of what was to come all along the trail through the forest, lots of wild flowers sprinkled here and there, but as soon as I cleared the tree line, the explosion of wild flowers began.
There were so many flowers it was hard to decide what to shoot. It is almost impossible to take a picture that shows the intensity of the flowers. Here are some shots I took. I never made it all the way to the Lake because a thunder storm rolled in and I had to make a dash down the hill to avoid getting soaked.
